Jewellery Care Guide

Your Santa Fe Jewels piece is crafted to be worn and loved for a lifetime. With a little regular care, your lab-grown diamonds and gold setting will stay as brilliant as the day you unboxed them.

5.1 Daily Wear Tips

  • Put your jewellery on last, after applying perfume, lotion, hairspray, and makeup — these products can dull the diamond's sparkle and affect the gold's finish over time.

  • Remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing, exercising, cleaning, or sleeping to avoid exposure to chlorine, harsh chemicals, and unnecessary knocks.

  • Avoid contact with household cleaning agents, bleach, and chlorinated water, which can damage gold, especially 9K and 14K pieces with a higher alloy content.

  • Take your rings off before heavy lifting, gardening, or manual work to prevent bent prongs or a loosened setting.

5.2 Cleaning Your Lab-Grown Diamond Jewellery

  1. Prepare a bowl of warm (not hot) water with a few drops of mild, ammonia-free dish soap.

  2. Soak your piece for 15–20 minutes to loosen everyday dirt, oils, and product build-up.

  3. Gently brush around the setting and underneath the stone with a soft, clean toothbrush.

  4. Rinse thoroughly under lukewarm running water, and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

  5. Finish with a gentle buff using a jewellery polishing cloth to restore shine.

5.3 Storage

  • Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or a fabric-lined compartment to prevent scratches from other jewellery.

  • Keep jewellery away from direct sunlight and humid areas, which can affect the gold finish over time.

  • For pieces not worn regularly, store in the original Santa Fe Jewels box to protect against dust and accidental damage.

5.4 Complimentary Care Services

  • Free professional cleaning and inspection once a year — mail your piece to our registered address.

  • One complimentary resizing within 6 months of purchase for rings and bangles purchased in a fixed size (subject to design feasibility).

  • Annual prong and setting check to catch loose stones early, at no charge, for the lifetime of your warranty.

5.5 What to Avoid

  • Chlorinated pools, hot tubs, and saunas.

  • Household bleach, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasive cloths.

  • Extreme temperature changes, which can stress delicate settings.

  • DIY repairs, resizing, or stone-tightening by unauthorised jewellers, which may void your warranty.

5.6 When to Contact Us

If you notice a loose stone, bent prong, discolouration, or any damage, please stop wearing the piece and contact our Client Care team at shopsantafejewels@gmail.com before attempting any repair yourself. This helps us assess whether the issue is covered under warranty.
